This internship experience is a great opportunity for those individuals to see first hand how a professional sports team is organized and managed. They will gain experience in all aspects of the organization and this will provide them with the skills necessary to succeed in future careers. All interested individuals must be motivated, creative, organized, team oriented, responsible, and have excellent communication and computer skills. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and receiving college credit. All internships are unpaid. We are looking for individuals who would like to work in the sports industry in the fields of Season Ticket Sales, Group Ticket Sales, Ticketing Operations & Community Relations. Some of the responsibilities include the involvement in the administration and implementation of current sales programs, assisting in the research and development of new sales campaigns and database maintenance, and helping with the organization of all team-based community programs and initiatives. This person is required to work approximately twenty (20) hours per week, plus occasional weekend events. Corporate Partnership intern Responsibilities include: Research Local and national companies and provide company information and contacts info. Deliveries to corporate or partners when needed. The Boston Blazers, a 2009 NLL expansion team, are searching for a Director of Ticket Sales and Operations. This key organizational leader will report directly to the team President and be responsible for creating, executing and managing a data-driven, customer-focused ticket selling organization for the Blazers who will kick off their 2009 season in the TD Banknorth Garden. The successful candidate will have 2-3 years of direct selling experience in an organization that relies heavily on database and direct marketing. Experience hiring and managing a team of salespeople is also a plus.
